Diamond Beach
|
Description
|
On the Bali island, Nusa Penida
is one of the most beautiful beaches you have ever seen. One that came
straight from the postcards. Diamond Beach is an untouched, white-sand and
silky blue water bay on the eastern tip of Nusa Penida. Diamond Beach is A stunning white beach, silky blue water,
limestones, and palm trees are creating a dream destination. With the
new stairs, carved out of the limestone, you can now get down to the beach in
20 minutes. On an East Nusa Penida
tour, it is possible to visit this beach.
During our visit, the stair
wasn’t finished where we had to climb down a little bit and climb over rocks
to reach the beach. The sea on this side is very rough and can easily be
dangerous. You can reach the beach by walk over and around the rocks. Diamond
Beach is not made for swimming. Every wave contains a lot of coral and rocks
which makes it quite painful. If you are fast enough and go in between the
waves you can have a good cool down in the sea. Just be very careful with the
current. It is a new, unknown spot and there is no help down here.

Padar Island
|
Description
|
Padar Island is the
third major island which makes up Komodo National Park and hiking to it’s
summit offers you the chance to glimpse one of the Indonesia’s most beautiful
viewpoints. The hike itself is pretty tough. The terrain is sandy with many
loose rocks and although they are currently developing the site and have
steps at the lower section, to
get to the top you’ll need a decent pair of hiking shoes, balance, dedication and a full bottle of water.
Padar
is mostly savannah-covered, surreal landscape fringed by bright green-capped
mountains of fairy-tale shapes. It’s all surrounded by three turquoise bays,
and curiously, each one of the bays’ beaches has different coloured sand: One
is pearly white, another charcoal black, and a third is a very rare baby
pink. It is a rare combination, a quirk of this unique island.
The
black-sanded beach has volcanic origin, composed of various dark minerals.
The pink, one of a few in the world, has pulverized red coral mixed with
white sand. And the white one, in most any other setting would be a
spectacular find. Here, it almost plays third fiddle.
Padar
is home to a remarkable array of wildlife, especially for its size. There are
six species of shark, and two of manta rays, and many different reptiles.
There once were three kinds of Komodo dragons here. (They are gone now, but
still found on Komodo, Rinca, Gili Montang, Gili Dasami, and Flores.) There
are dolphins, the occasional whale, falcons, kites, geckos, and green
turtles. And then there are some plain old little mammals, to feed their
neighbor predators.

Natuna Island
|
Description
|
The Natuna
islands together with the Anambas
archipelago are Indonesia’s
outermost northern border islands in the Riau Archipelago, on the west
side of the South Chinan Sea. Strategically located between Singapore, the
Malaysian Peninsula on one side and East Malaysia on Borneo on the other, the
two island-clusters are now fast growing into a favorite playground for
yachters, more so ever since Indonesia eased entry regulations for yachts to
sail into Indonesian seas. Natuna and the Anambas promise true
off-the-beaten-track adventure into some pristine beauty. Here you will find
mountain peaks sloping down to serene white sandy beaches, some strewn with
giant boulders, and colorful coral reefs, transparent through translucent
waters. The archipelago consists of some 270 islands that are divided into
three groups, namely the North Natuna, which includes Laut Island (Pulau
Laut); Middle Natuna, which includes Bunguran (or Natuna Besar); and South
Natuna, which include the Subi Islands and Serasan.

Masjidil Haram
|
Description
|
Masjid
al-Haram was built around the Kaaba. It is also the largest mosque in the
world. It was first built under the leadership of the Caliph Omar Ibn
al-Khattab (634-644) and has been modified continuously under several Muslim
rulers. Omar, the first Caliph, ordered the demolition of some houses
surrounding the Kaaba in order to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims
and built a 1.5 meter high wall to delineate a large prayer area. During the
reign of his successor Caliph Uthman Ibn Affan (644-656), the prayer space
was enlarged and was covered with a roof carried on wooden columns and
arches. In 692, after Caliph Abdul Malik bin Marwan conquered Mecca from Ibn
Zubayr, the guardian of the holy site, the outer walls of the mosque were
raised, the ceiling was covered with teak and the column capitals were
painted in gold. His son, al-Walid (705-715), contributed to the Mosque of
al-Haram by replacing the wooden columns with marble ones and by decorating
its arches with mosaics. Later, Abbasid Caliph Abu Ja’far al-Mansur (754-775)
added mosaics to the columns. He also doubled the size of the northern and
western wings of the prayer hall and erected the minaret of Bab al-Umra on
the northwest corner. In 777, due to the growing number of pilgrims, Abbasid
Caliph al-Mahdi (775-785) ordered the rebuilding of the mosque, demolishing
more houses around the Ka’ba. The new mosque enclosure centered on the Kaaba,
measured 196 meters by 142 meters. It was built on a grid plan, with marble
columns from Egypt and Syria, decorated with gilt teak wooden inlay. Al-Mahdi
also built three minarets crowned with crenellations and placed above Bab
al-Salam, Bab Ali and Bab al-Wadi of the mosque.

Chureito Pagoda
|
Description
|
Pagoda it is a towerlike, tiered
structure traditionally associated with Buddhist temple complexes. Pagodas
are common sights throughout eastern and southeast Asia, including Japan.
Pagodas are meant to symbolize sacred mountains and often shelter
religious relics.
The Chureito Pagoda, also called
the Chastain Tower and officially named the Fujiyoshida
Cenotaph Monument, is a shrine located in the Fuji Five
Lakes region at Mount Fuji’s northern base. The Pagoda has five
stories; it is situated on a mountainside overlooking Fuji Yoshida City,
with Mount Fuji itself visible in the distance. You
have probably seen pictures of a beautiful pagoda with Mount Fuji in the
background, this is the Chureito Pagoda.
The
Chureito Pagoda was built in 1963, a recent addition to the Arakura Sengen Shrine. It serves
specifically as a peace memorial commemorating the citizens of Fujiyoshida who
died in wars from the mid-1800s until World War II.
At a
higher altitude than the rest of the Shrine, Chureito Pagoda is famous for
its steps.
Whether for its historical significance or natural beauty,
the Chureito Pagoda and surrounding area
make for an excellent day trip from Tokyo. Get away from the
frantic hustle of the city and experience the grand Mount Fuji.
During the spring cherry
blossom season and the autumn koyo season, the view from the
Pagoda becomes even more spectacular.

The Schilthorn and Piz Gloria
|
Description
|
it's a place on the summit of the
Schilthorn at 2970 meters above sea level. you can Marvel at the most
spectacular panorama in the Alps: Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau - this is the
Swiss Skyline. you can reach just 32 minutes by aerial cableway. There are
Skyline View Platforms so we will enjoy the spectacular view from our big
terrace of Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau (UNESCO World Heritage) and on more than
200 other summits. There are many places in there like a Restaurant, Kyline
Takeaway, Skyline Top Shop, Bond World, Bond Cinema Schiltorn, 007 Wal of
Fame, Piz Gloria View, View Lounges, and you can touch the permanent snow
surface on the Schilthorn’s northern. The Schilthorn built because of
already famous among climbers as an exceptionally beautiful vantage point,
but the geology of the mountain did not lend itself to the building of a
railway. So in the early 1960's, the aerial cable-car industry had made
enough progress to tackle such a demanding project.

Arc De Triomphe De I’Etoile
|
Description
|
Triumphal Arch of the Star is one of
the most famous monuments in Paris, France,
standing at the western end of the Champs-Élysées at the centre of Place Charles de Gaulle, formerly named
Place de l'Étoile—the étoile or "star" of the
juncture formed by its twelve radiating avenues. The location of the arc and
the plaza is shared between three arrondissements, 16th (south and
west), 17th (north)
and 8th (east). The Arc de Triomphe honours
those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic
Wars, with the names of all French victories and generals
inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. Beneath its vault lies the Tomb of
the Unknown Soldier from World War I.
As the central cohesive element of the Axe
historique (historic axis, a sequence of monuments and grand
thoroughfares on a route running from the courtyard of the Louvre to
the Grande Arche de la Défense), the Arc de
Triomphe was designed by Jean
Chalgrin in 1806; its iconographic programme
pits heroically nude French youths against
bearded Germanic warriors in chain mail.
It set the tone for public monuments with triumphant patriotic messages.
Inspired by the Arch of Titus in Rome, Italy, the Arc de
Triomphe has an overall height of 50 metres (164 ft), width of 45 m
(148 ft) and depth of 22 m (72 ft), while its large vault is
29.19 m (95.8 ft) high and 14.62 m (48.0 ft) wide. The
smaller transverse vaults are 18.68 m (61.3 ft) high and
8.44 m (27.7 ft) wide. Three weeks after the Paris victory parade
in 1919 (marking the end of hostilities in World War I), Charles
Godefroy flew his Nieuport biplane
under the arch's primary vault, with the event captured on newsreel.
Paris's Arc de Triomphe was the tallest triumphal
arch until the completion of the Monumento a la Revolución in Mexico City in
1938, which is 67 metres (220 ft) high. The Arch of Triumph in Pyongyang, completed
in 1982, is modelled on the Arc de Triomphe and is slightly taller at
60 m (197 ft). La Grande
Arche in La Defense near Paris is 110 metres high. Although
it is not named an Arc de Triomphe, it has been designed on the same model
and in the perspective of the Arc de Triomphe. It qualifies as the world's
tallest arch.

Bukchon Hanok Village
|
Description
|
Bukchon
Hanok Village is home to hundreds of traditional houses, called hanok, that date back to the Joseon Dynasty. The name Bukchon,
which literally translates to "northern village," came about as the
neighborhood lies north of two significant Seoul landmarks, Cheonggyecheon
Stream and Jongno.
Today,
many of these hanoks operate as cultural centers, guesthouses, restaurants and
tea houses, providing visitors with an opportunity to experience, learn and
immerse themselves in traditional Korean culture. As Bukchon Hanok Village is
an actual neighborhood with people's homes, visitors are advised to be
respectful at all times while looking around. And there we can rent Korean
traditional clothes namely hanbok, enter hanok and then admire the beauty in
it, we can buy souvenirs there, visit every cafe there if we want.
